About Liza

Liza (Elizabeth C. Valentine) is a Registered Architect with the Alberta Association of Architects

Liza is a certified LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional for Building Design and Construction.

Liza is a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, MRAIC

From 2001 - 2009 Liza gained experience inside architectural firms as a designer on single family homes, townhomes, resort housing,  and interiors. The majority of Liza’s project experience has been located in Calgary urban neighborhoods or other parts of Alberta.

Since 2009 Liza has continued to work on similar project types, and in addition to working in a design role has spent considerable time producing working drawings and being on site during the construction process.

Liza Valentine Architecture & Design offers a good working knowledge of the City of Calgary Land Use Bylaws, Inner City Residential Development Guidelines and considerable experience preparing/obtaining permits with the City of Calgary Planning and Building Department.

Liza has been a dedicated volunteer in the arts since 2003.
